What if self hypnosis can be easy?

Are you curious about my favorite way to go into a trance?
When I first learned hypnosis I told myself I wasn't good at it. I imagined I was missing something that everyone else had figured out because trance didn't feel mystical or magical to me.
Then I realized that trance is really simple, and it usually just feels like relaxation.
When I stopped saying, "Why is everyone else better at this than me?"...
And started saying, "What if this is how it's supposed to feel? What if I AM doing it right?"...
The mystery started to unravel for me.
If you're a hypnotist, you probably agree that trance and hypnosis can take many different forms and today I want to talk to you about the trance that drops me into instant bliss.
The kind of bliss that feels like floating in the eye of the hurricane so the chaos doesn't seem to matter.
The kind of bliss that feels like the soft brush of an angel's wing against my cheek.
And it's easier than you might think.
I'm going to give you a step-by-step walkthrough and please don't be tricked by how simple it is.
I double dare you to try it right after you read the steps below - while thinking to yourself, "What if I'm better at this than I realize?"
Then listen for the angel's wings.
NOTE: Induction here means - To induce a trance; or to go into a trance.
The Bliss Induction
- Decide that you want a moment of bliss by simply saying, "I want a moment of bliss," or if you want to get a bit playful (which I highly recommend) say,
"I want to feel the brush of angel's wings."
- Look at an object in front of you then zero in on one very specific spot on that object. Let your breathing become shallow and relaxed.
- Keep staring as if you're zoning out. While you look at that spot say the name of 3 objects you can see with your peripheral vision. Just name them in your mind with no judgement.
- Keep staring at that spot and notice 3 things you can hear right now. Just name the sounds in your mind without judgement.
- Keep staring and notice 3 body sensations. I'll list my favorite 3...
- The way it feels to be supported by the surface beneath me.
- The way my clothing feels against my skin.
- The way my tongue feels in my mouth.
- Soften the muscles in your jaw and relax your teeth apart. Relax your tongue in your mouth.
- Think the word "BLISS" to yourself three times.
- Notice the peace in this moment.
Ok, try it now. You don't need to get it perfect or remember every step. Simply zone out and notice 3 things you see, hear, and feel in this moment.
Did you do it? Did you love it?
You can do The Bliss Induction in a deeply relaxed state or when you're out and about.
I've actually done it in the grocery store when I was feeling stressed out by the chocolate aisle calling my name. (I didn't stare at a spot. I simply named 3 things I could see, hear, and feel.)
The Bliss Induction made me feel so good that the chocolate lost its appeal.
I've also used this induction while drifting off to sleep (if it's dark, you can just do steps 1-3 in your imagination).
When you notice yourself feeling blissed out you can give yourself a hypnotic suggestion, such as...
"I fall asleep easily."
"I feel peaceful."
"I am content as I am."
"I am complete."
I'd love to hear how you like this one!
Love,
Lori
