Did you know that body language can stop candy cravings?

Are you tempted by all that Halloween candy this time of year?
This short cheat sheet shows you how to stop candy cravings (or any craving) using body language.
These proven techniques work because they speak directly to the subconscious mind - the part of us that generates cravings.
As you read you may say, "This seems too easy!"
I understand how you feel. I used to feel that way too...
...and when I gave these a try I was blown away by the results.
#1 The Magic String
When you notice yourself craving, immediately check in with your body.
There's a good chance you're clenching your jaw, tensing your shoulders, or slumping forward.
HOW TO FIX IT:
Imagine a string is pulling you up from the top of the head.
This is a Magic String that aligns your body and lets your shoulders drop down a bit and your teeth slightly separate as your jaw relaxes.
Now...while this Magic String is in place, say to yourself, "I am ok. I'm already satisfied."
*BONUS points if you take a deep breath with a loooonng sloooow exhale while you do this.
Now try to find that craving you had, and find that you cannot!
Repeat as needed to re-train your body to automatically release those old cravings you had.
#2 The Tongue Trick
This one is even quicker and easier than the first. There's a lot of science behind why this works but that's a subject for another post.
HOW TO DO IT:
Allow your jaw to relax and your teeth to separate.
Gently touch the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth. Just behind your front teeth.
While you hold your tongue there, put both hands in the air in a VICTORY pose and hold for 10 seconds.
Tell yourself (out loud if possible), "I am in control. I feel amazing!"
Notice how your self-talk affects your body.
#3 Anchor Success
This is a very subtle body language tweak you can use anytime, anywhere...
...and nobody can tell you're doing it.
It works because it lets you feel better immediately.
A person has cravings because they want to feel better and I'm about to show you how to do that in seconds. . . without food!
HOW TO DO IT:
Think of a time you've felt absolutely amazing and on top of the world. Pretend you're back there right now. . .
Seeing what you saw,
Hearing what you heard,
Feeling what you felt.
When you're feeling absolutely amazing, touch the tip of your thumb to the tip of your ring finger while you say to yourself,
"I feel amazing!"
*BONUS points for lifting your face to the sky while you do this.
In the future, you can repeat this gesture (ring finger and thumb together) to re-experience this amazing feeling.
(This is called an anchor)
